About the Artist
Erin Porrey is an artist from Appleton, WI, whose work explores complex issues using colorful digital photography. Her work often integrates humor to address contradictions found in contemporary American culture. She has explored a diverse array of subjects including plastic waste, hyper-processed foods, gambling, and subprime lending. Her current body of work investigates the degeneration of the American Dream.
A lifelong learner, Porrey graduated summa cum laude from American University in Washington, DC earning a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies and holds a Certificate Degree in Nonprofit Leadership from Harvard University. In 2025, she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Studio Arts at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay. She is the recipient of the Hagemeister Family Merit Scholarship for Art and the Jerry Dell Award. Her work has been exhibited nationally, including shows at Northern State University (Aberdeen), The Art Garage (Green Bay), Praxis Gallery (Minneapolis), and Black Box Gallery (Portland).
